Born and raised in the beautiful state of Hawaii, on the island of Maui, and educated in Colorado, I have found my paradise in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.

I have been a photographer for over twenty years, and while I have dabbled in many genres of the art - from landscapes to live music, from action sports to commercial and stock photography, I’ve found that creating fine portraiture is my true passion. I love the banter I have with my subjects, and even more so, the stories they tell - of life, love, hopes, dreams, or even of tragedy and triumph.

That’s why, for me, portraiture is personal. Its up close. Very close. Its not just the art of shaping the light, or finding the subject’s best angle but rather that personal connection made with the subject, and then trying to capture - in that split second - just a glimpse of who they are, and to portray it in the most dignified way I possibly can.
